Teacher Kelly is a Registered Early Childhood Educator who is passionate about early learning. She has had the privilege of working at LCNS since September 2015. Kelly is always looking for new learning opportunities and regularly participates in professional development opportunities. Kelly is a mom to four children and she has 10 nieces and nephews. Kelly loves reading and sharing books with children. She and her family enjoy camping, hiking and canoeing. |
Teacher Rachelle is a Registered Early Childhood Educator with many years of experience. She values the relationships she builds with children and sees them as capable and competent learners who teach her as much as she teaches them. Being outside and connecting with nature is important to Rachelle and she loves passing this appreciation on to children. Rachelle and her husband have two grown sons, three dogs and one cat. |
Teacher Nancy PorterTeacher Nancy has been working with children for over 20 years. She has her own private childcare and has helped out in different programs throughout the community. Nancy has her Food and Beverage and Nutritional Management certificates and is currently working on her ECE. Nancy is a Mom of 4, two adult children and a cat and dog. Nancy enjoys baking, going to the beach, reading, crafts, and spending time with her family. She believes that laughter, exploring and having fun are important parts of the learning process.

Teacher Ashley CoghlanAshley has lived in Waterloo since 2011 and she has two children and a dog. Ashley’s family was introduced to Lakeshore Cooperative Nursery School when their daughter was 3 and have loved this school community ever since! She had the privilege of serving on the board for several years, Shortly after they moved on to Elementary School, Ashley became a Supply Teacher, and then this year was hired as Enhanced Staff. Ashley enjoys working with children, helping to foster learning through play, and watching their skills grow. She is so happy to be part of the teaching team at LCNS! Outside of school, you can find Ashley working on her small business, reading, or camping.
