In the toddler program, the children have been very interested in watching wildlife on our playground. They have seen several kinds of birds, lots of worms and insects, and black and gray squirrels. They really like watching the squirrels running along the fence and chasing each other through the trees.
As toddlers observe wild creatures, they are developing curiosity about nature and how animals move and behave. These observations help build early science skills like noticing patterns, asking questions, and making simple connections to their own experiences.
